KasiCode (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Prestige Platform. We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use kasicode.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, and authentication data when you sign up (via email, Google, or GitHub).

Usage data: Number of builds, projects created, features used, and session activity.

Payment information: Payment transactions are processed by Yoco. We store your plan type, subscription status, and payment reference — not your card details.

Project data: Code you create, conversation history with the AI, and deployed projects.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the KasiCode service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (welcome, payment confirmation, subscription reminders)
• Send product updates and feature announcements (you can unsubscribe)
• Improve AI output quality through our self-improvement system
• Monitor usage for security and abuse prevention

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on:

• Supabase (database) — hosted in secure cloud infrastructure
• Vercel (hosting) — with SSL encryption
• Anthropic (AI processing) — prompts are sent to Claude for code generation

We implement rate limiting, authentication, input validation, and encryption to protect your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes your prompts to generate code
• Yoco — processes payments (South African payment provider)
• Resend — sends transactional and broadcast emails
• Google / GitHub — optional OAuth authentication
• Vercel — hosting and analytics

6. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a South African data subject, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal information
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Object — object to processing of your information for marketing
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

9. Children

KasiCode is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
